nova_via_m.brs.jpgRibeira Brava, 29 de Março. - Em cumprimento a uma legítima solicitação da população do Morro Brás, a Câmara Municipal construiu um considerável troço calcetado que para além de contribuir para a valorização desse povoado, garante uma melhor segurança às habitações localizadas nas proximidades do leito da ribeira. Ladeado por plantas de coqueiros, essa via vem trazer um redobrado prazer aos habitantes de Morro Brás por ser espaçosa e ser o lugar por onde, a 13 de Maio de todos os anos se costuma voltear a procissão em homenagem à Nossa Senhora de Fátima. O simbólico cortar da fita contou com as mãos do Presidente da Câmara Municipal coadjuvado por uma senhora residente em representação da população.Seguiu-se uma marcha em toda a extensão da via finda a qual se ouviram dos presentes as palavras de agradecimento pela atenção que vem sido dada pela Câmara Municipal ao Morro Brás. Na sua alocução o Presidente da Câmara evidenciou o facto de estar a fazer tudo para que «cada povoado tenha direito à sua gota de água», parafraseando o poeta e, que esse acto, no dia 26 de Março, constitui também uma homenagem à mulher cabo-verdiana, batalhadora incansável e amante do bem-estar de todos.
