Carnaval na Ribeira Brava é motivo para homenagens

O Carnaval no Município da Ribeira Brava, em S. Nicolau, tem vindo a ganhar, a cada ano, maior projecção e impacto na economia local, sendo já visível, por essa ocasião, inúmeras iniciativas dos grupos carnavalescos, da sociedade civil e das instituições públicas, com o propósito de aproveitarem a grande movimentação de pessoas, particularmente da diáspora.
No sábado, dia 01 de Março, primeiro dia oficial dos desfiles dos grupos do Carnaval, tem lugar, na Biblioteca Municipal da Ribeira Brava, pelas 17:00 horas, a cerimónia de homenagem, a figuras do Carnaval do Município, a ser presidida pelo Ministro da Cultura. No mesmo acto será feito o lançamento do selo que homenageia o Carnaval de S. Nicolau, numa parceria entre os Correios de Cabo Verde e a Câmara Municipal da Ribeira Brava.
